چکیده
Abstract Background Hereditary ataxia (HA) represents a group of genetically heterogeneous neurodegenerative diseases caused by dysfunction the cerebellum or disruption connection between and other areas central nervous system. Phenotypic manifestation HA includes unsteadiness stance gait, dysarthria, nystagmus, dysmetria complaints clumsiness. There are no specific treatments for HA. Management strategies provide supportive treatment to reduce symptoms. Objectives This systematic review aimed identify, evaluate summarise published literature on therapeutic roles natural remedies in evidence clinical practice. Methods A search was conducted using Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Web Science, PubMed Science Direct Scopus were thoroughly searched relevant articles from June 2007 July 2020. Results Ten pre-clinical two studies eligible inclusion this review. We identified medicinal plants Brassica napus, Gardenia jasminoides, Gastrodia elata, Ginkgo biloba, Glycyrrhiza inflata, Paeonia lactiflora, Pueraria lobata Rehmannia glutinosa ; herbal formulations Shaoyao Gancao Tang Zhengan Xifeng Tang; mushroom Hericium erinaceus In review, we evaluated mode actions contributing their effects, including activation ubiquitin–proteasome system, antioxidant pathways, maintenance intracellular calcium homeostasis regulation chaperones. also briefly highlighted integral cellular signalling pathways responsible orchestrating actions. Conclusion reviewed improving halting progression HA, which warrant further study applications into

Background: Recently, the "Disruptions in the Energy Field" have been omitted from the list of nursing diagnoses published by the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA). Therapeutic touch is a scientific nursing intervention. The aim of this systematic review was to identify the efficacy of therapeutic touch (TT) and investigate the tenability of omitting this diagnosis from the N...
متن کاملThe global epidemiology of hereditary ataxia and spastic paraplegia: a systematic review of prevalence studies.
BACKGROUND Hereditary cerebellar ataxias (HCA) and hereditary spastic paraplegias (HSP) are two groups of neurodegenerative disorders that usually present with progressive gait impairment, often leading to permanent disability. Advances in genetic research in the last decades have improved their diagnosis and brought new possibilities for prevention and future treatments. Still, there is great ...

متن کاملHereditary Ataxia with a Novel Mutation in the Senataxin Gene: A Case Report
Hereditary ataxias (HA) are a group of inherited neurological disorders caused by changes in genes. At least 115 different mutations in the senataxin (SETX) gene causing ataxia have been identified. There are no reports of any SETX gene mutation among the Iranian population. Here we report on two cases with homozygous and heterozygous mutations in which one patient was affected by HA with oculo...
